The Digital Innovation Grant (DIG) is back with its fourth round of funding, after seeing huge success in previous years. Applications opened on 1st May, and it’s expected there will be a lot of hopeful business applicants.
Focusing on Growth & Innovation for SMEs in West Yorkshire
The Digital Innovation Grant (DIG) is a programme designed to provide support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the West Yorkshire area. The scheme aims to help SMEs within West Yorkshire enhance their digital capabilities and in turn, their confidence in using digital technology. It is hoped that through the support the scheme provides, SMEs will be better equipped to increase their productivity levels and improve their competitiveness in their market to achieve better business growth.
The Process & Eligibility
The Digital Innovation Grants are issued through a competitive process, opposed to on a first come first serve basis. After initial applications have been submitted, each will be assessed for eligibility and further ranked, taking into consideration various economic and potential growth indicators.

When successful applicants have been chosen, funding will be available for up to 50% of the value of their own investment, with the award ranging from a minimum of £1,000 to a maximum of £5,000. In the past, the grants have helped enterprises install new IT systems and better telecoms services, which have helped in expanding client databases and increasing productivity internally.
The Digital Innovation Grant officially went live on Monday 2nd May and will be open for a total of two weeks, with the application process closing at midnight on Friday 13th May.
