Electrical Testing

All Electrical installations must have an Electrical Installation Condition Report in accordance with BS7671 the IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition (formerly the Periodic Inspection Report) every five years or change of occupier. Failure to keep up to date certification could lead to prosecution and invalidation of insurance.

DVAD can carry out an Electrical Condition Report with minimum disruption to your business, with testing being undertaken outside of business hours if necessary. We carry out a free no obligation survey, assess your timescales and provide a detailed quotation.

Portable Appliance Testing

The Health and Safety Executive states that 25% of electrical accidents involve portable appliances, which is hardly surprising when you consider that a lot of these are handheld. In order to comply with the Electricity at Work Act and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment regulations, all electrical appliances need to be regularly tested, which is commonly known as portable appliance testing (PAT) testing.

DVAD offer a full PAT service for industrial, commercial and residential customers, tailored to their individual requirements. This means you can meet your testing obligations, with a record of results kept on site as part of your health and safety system.

Ensure your emergency lighting system is designed and installed correctly for your premises and maintained regularly to be prepared in the event of an emergency.

As a specialist electrical compliance contractor, we provide full duration emergency light testing to ensure compliance with BS 5266. Inspections take 3 hours and can be provided on a monthly or quarterly basis. The inspection comprises of the identification of the types of lights installed, duration test, the correct signage and the quantity and placement of each light. We deliver a full report detailing each light and details of any faults found as part of the service.
