Business telephones and IT solutions provider Direct Voice and Data have recently helped to bring a smile to thousands of children across Zimbabwe by sponsoring circus performers “Clowns Without Borders”.
“Clowns Without Borders” are a team of contemporary clown and circus performers who travel around the world providing laughter to relieve the suffering of all people, especially children, who live in areas of crisis. Visiting regions in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East and South America, the circus performs in varying locations including refugee camps, conflict zones and territories in situations of emergency.
For their recent tour of Zimbabwe, Direct Voice and Data donated much needed funds to the circus enabling them to perform to a much larger group of children than originally expected. Direct Voice and Data’s donation alone meant that 1,363 children were able to see the performance.
The entire tour of Zimbabwe was a roaring success with valuable donations meaning that the circus was able to perform to a staggering 13,500 children compared to the 5,000 that the team had hoped.
